I tried a 1000 times to shoot fireworks, and they all look like shiny spits... could you please tell me HOW you take pictures like this awesome one??

I'm terrible at taking fireworks pictures. These are really nice! The little puffs of... stuff at the top? They remind me of those... puffy seed thingies the dandelions make for the wind. 'Cause the wind likes fluffy things.

Hmm its not that hard... For this we simply set up the tripod, used my 70-300mm lens to get in close, used my remote shutter release to eliminate camera shake and set the camera to F4.2 (as wide open as I could make it with the lens) and 2.5 seconds to catch the motion of the fireworks and traveling light.

Apart from that its mostly luck and guessing when the big explosions are going to go off, you need to hit the shutter just before they explode to catch the full motion with the long 2.5 second exposure (or longer even depending on how much you want to catch).
